It lasts all night if you fill it correctly, which I'm guessing others have not. You need to fill the reservoir then TIP IT A BIT and the water goes down so you can fill it more. 

This thing is perfect for people without a/c who just need cool air to sleep! I love it! In fact, there are times at night where I have to turn it off because I'm too cold, and that's on the low setting! This little guy does exactly what it's supposed to do.

I was skeptical at first because the day we bought it was extremely humid, and it seemed like the air it produced was just a weak, tepid stream. So if you live in high humidity this might not be for you. The rest of you should just get it! Love my little chiller. :)
